Subject: [Leica] Problem Formating the SD Card, some help?

Luis your new camera should have the latest firmware anyway, unless it is
old stock
Go to the MENU button:
Scroll down to below the Format card option.
You should have Firmware 2.002.
If that is not correct you should upgrade. Some earlier firmware does not
recognise SDHC cards. Those are the ones over 2GB.
Get another card that is no more than 2GB. You want a SD card, Not a SDHC
card.
Try to format that one in the camera.
Use it to update your firmware.
Try the other SDHC.
I use and recommend Sandisk Extreme III 4GB cards now.  You can fit nearly
400 DNG on that card. That is about how long one battery charge lasts
anyway.
