The printing quality from the Epson 3800 is a far as I can tell perfect.
I cant think of an angle to criticize it from.
It ain't broke so im not going to fix it by throwing money at a RIP.
And of course had I seen results which made it worth it I would.
But I've never seen any results that I am aware of.
Much stuff I've seen in the gallery context here in Chelsea and in the AIPAD
Photography Show every year here which has a hundred galleries represented
in it internationally represents had a huge percentage of inkjet printing
I'm sure 95 percent of that was Epson. How many of these people feel like
they need to use a RIP I know now what I'd take a wild guess 15%. I do know
the interface on the Epson 3800 just makes me smile. Nothing less then a
joy to use especially the black and white expert mode.
But it's been out in digital printing years decades.
I'd not get one now I'd get the next thing. Or the 13 inch more recent
thing.
- how many of us really need a 17 inch wide printer. I'm not sure I did.
13 would almost certainly do it.

It was a HUGE step up from the 2200 I used preceding.
