On RAM amount: with current MacOS software and big image-editing programs, I
wouldn't want to live in 2GB.  4GB would be entirely usable, but you'd be
doing some swapping occasionally.  8GB would rarely be exceeded in normal 
use,
and is what I'd recommend.  16GB might be a tiny bit better if it doesn't 
cost
extraordinarily much more, but is probably overkill.
