My Grandfather on my dad's side was in the Princess pat Regiment, passed
away years later in the Vet's Hospital in Vancouver, BC..

My dad was in tUS Army tanks and got a battlefield promotion from corporal
to lieutenant after The Bulge

All of my uncles served in the US military during WWII as well.

I spent 10 years in the US Marines (two with a camera at work!) and got a
small taste of combat and the terrible price it extracts.

Unless you've been there, it's difficult to imagine, whether in combat or
not.

I salute my brothers and sisters across the planet, past, present and future
and thank them for their service.

I pray they all come home from harm's way, wherever they may be tonight.
