Subject: [Leica] Mac on a netbook

A computer geek friend of mine runs Mac OS 10.4 on an Asus netbook. He tells
me the details for doing it can be found on google by looking up "OS X on a
netbook" or "Mac on a netbook." It is strictly a non-Apple authorized
procedure so if your netbook self destructs or explodes in a hail of
transistors, you can't blame Apple. But so far nothing like that has
happened.
I've never tried it since I don't own a netbook and see little need to buy
one as long as my 12" G4 Powerbook functions.

The one I got is an Acer Aspire One, with a 1.6 Ghz Atom processor, 2GB

RAM, 250 GB hard disc and Windows 7.

I have not done a lot with it yet, except to install Open Office,

Lightroom, Firefox, Bullguard (my preferred antivirus software for Windows),

iTunes etc. Seems reasonably fast for what I would use it for.

Cheers,

Nathan
