Well, I'll just observe there are a whole lot of different contexts in
which you can judge this photograph (standing alone? part of a story?
as part of your own/the viewer's own background?) so there is probably
no completely right or wrong judgment.

I might add I looked at some of her current and past photos and
writing re: Haiti on the NYT website yesterday and I was very
impressed with her work and I can also see (again, in the context of
her shooting) why she might like this one a lot.
