Ha ha, I recall coming into a town in Germany, too late to find 
accommodation at the tourist office, and being "rescued" by a big 
friendly policeman, as he drove us to a friend with a B&B.

My memories of traveling in Germany are wonderful, with very friendly 
people.

And I said in a previous post, Wetzlar is a very pretty town.
