The "golf" photo alteration does not offend me either.
Personally - I have a "who cares?" reaction to it;
and I do most other celebrity lies; whether sports, hollywood, etc.

However if this photographer submitted the altered photograph
as a news document of the event,
to a sports or news publication,
without informing the editors of the alteration,
he definitely slipped down the slope;
by intentionally deceiving his editors and publishers.
