Subject: [Leica] Anyone using Drobo

Mine is the smallest Drobo - a 4 bay one.  They also make 5 bay and 8 bay
Drobos.  Mine is USB connected and is plenty fast for me.
I'm backing it up on a 1T WD My Book external hard drive.  Somehow Acronis
compresses it enough so the incremental back-ups of the Drobo and my laptop
only take up about 700GB.  I also keep the individual Raw photo files backed
up on Seagate hard drives - one per year of photos.  I think 3 is the
minimum number of back-ups to be safe according to the DAM book!
