Thanks.  Let me say that the possibility of 1000 pictures on a postage stamp
is one of the wonders of the modern age; and that it is stable enough to run
through the washing machine or run over by a car and still work amazes me.

My conservatism is less on the distrust of the media, (actually) and more on
the trust of the longevity  of the sd card as a compact. inexpensive back
up.  Not as cheap as a hard drive, but far smaller.
