I have mixed feelings about 35mm lenses.  I love them for shooting antique
cars, since they're wide enough to allow me to get close without people
getting in front of me, but not so wide that I have distortion concerns.
With a 35, it's also that much harder to throw objects in the background
out of focus (which I like for portraits, and emphasis within a frame).
Lately I've been playing with a combination of 50 and 21mm lenses, which
seem to cover what I like.  Perhaps I'll come to love 35s, but not right
away.

I tend to shoot more with a 35mm lens during the winter indoors, since I
have the CV 35/1.2, and love its performance wide open in crummy light.

Jim,

I've sometimes wondered why you don't use a 35mm lens, but this
picture answers that question:  the cropping with the 50 is just
perfect.  Very nice work.
