Subject: [Leica] IMG: Field Poppies - where did the detail go/over-saturation?

Thanks for the idea Henning,

The shot has got me hooked enough to try all sorts of 
ideas on it, including yours (I must dig out some old 
signal processing ideas from the world of geophysics).

The main problem is that the "blown" red is precisely 
the colour I remember the poppies were in real life, 
shifting the saturation makes it "feel" wrong:-)
