I wonder whether you are pitying,patronising or condemning those making a transition soooo much later than you? You tell us your experience, then project that onto "....99+% of the photographers who switch...."? Seems perhaps a rather egocentric assumption. That sounds much more unkind than I want it to sound. It is just that, while we are of course interested in one another's anecdotal recollections, we may not all be as ready to be taken for granted in a sweeping stastical generalisation.? To thus dismiss Philippe, or Frank, whose question began this thread, or any other LUGer as "....part of a very small minority...."? seems to trivialise their input.? Perhaps those whose experience is not so great, or so long ago fulfilled, are being invited to sit at the children's table? ? You are one of a very small minority who actually went from MF to AF in that switch, and hence all the resultant adjustment problems.
