I lived in Venezuela for two years with Leicas and have traveled
extensively in Central America during the rainy season. It's also pretty
humid year-round in South Carolina! I've never had any problems with
fungus or anything caused by humidity. Usually, if you keep your cameras
and lenses in a closet with a light on all the time, that's enough to keep
them dry. If not, you can always purchase a dehumidifier and keep it in
the room with the cameras. I have a dehumidifier in my darkroom.
