Let us know if you find an answer.  I asked the same question in a 
seminar the other day, and the answer was a sledgehammer if the data 
must be 100% gone.  There is a certain catharsis in that, at least for 
the office disks.  A .44 magnum works well, and is also independent of 
platforms.  Tip: put the HD in a box first so you don't have to pick up 
little parts scattered all over.
