Another powerful thing that may not be obvious in his technique is he's
watching the flash go off in his viewfinder.
That's the kind of thing which really gives you an edge.
Hearing the click is great the SLR or DSLR goes don't get that but seeing
the flash etch in the image you feel like you know if you got it or not and
you feel like you know exactly what it is. ..even in normal ambient daylight
light levels.
