The D800E looks very tempting indeed. Alas, R lenses will be difficult to 
use for all the usual reasons: lack of meter coupling and auto stop down 
operation. With a good  selection of high quality CZ ZF.2 primes now 
available there's no reason to hold on to any but specialised R lenses. Then 
there is the possibility of teething troubles so it might be advisable to 
wait until early adopters have reported on their experiences.

Canon and Sony cannot be far behind, Photokina perhaps? Interesting times.
