That scan looks nice!? I have an Epson 2450 also with Vuescan.? Although I
did have it working with the 4990 pro drivers before buying Vuescan for my
Plustek.?

Subject: [Leica] IMG: Scanning With an Epson 2450

With the assistance of several list members, I made a couple of scans of a
single negative using my Epson 2450 flatbed scanner.? The results were
compared to the scan on the CD supplied by the lab.

Using Epson software, the results were similar to the image on the lab CD.

Using VueScan software, the resulting scan was a little less contrasty, but
more pleasing in overall appearance.? If needed for on-line posting, these
would, in my opinion, be adequate, though not up to the standards of
dedicated film scanners.? With more practice, I've no doubt I can make
improvements.

The scan using VueScan software is shown here:

Comments and critiques welcomed.
