Subject: [Leica] IMG: Scanning With an Epson 2450

With the assistance of several list members, I made a couple of scans of a 
single negative using my Epson 2450 flatbed scanner.  The results were 
compared to the scan on the CD supplied by the lab.

Using Epson software, the results were similar to the image on the lab CD.

Using VueScan software, the resulting scan was a little less contrasty, but 
more pleasing in overall appearance.  If needed for on-line posting, these 
would, in my opinion, be adequate, though not up to the standards of 
dedicated film scanners.  With more practice, I've no doubt I can make 
improvements.
