Every time I've spent more than half an hour
in or even near those shooting galleries of a dozen or more (sometimes 30 +)
photographers
I've come to the conclusion that it just wasn't worth it.
Definitely a young (wo)man's game
You need to have a whole lot of connections to get "your" image,
which you can pretty much bet is just like everyone else's,
wired off to an agency or publication before "they" do.

And you've got to be ready to do as much homework on the "stars"
as Doug does on the wildlife.
Need to learn the stars habits and habitats;
network with people who know somebody who knows somebody.
Earn and maintain trust.
