A burning issue for decades for people who start out in their photography hobby. Eventually you buy your camera and shoot with it. The emphasis then goes to your work not your camera. As you have it already. Or you choose not to focus on your work but your next camera. And its all about playing with money not with photography. But now when the anti gets upped to not hundreds not thousands but tens of thousands of dollars one looks at this work to see if it could possibly reflect such a purchase. On these lists it usually dos not come anywhere close; its about playing with money.
