Subject: [Leica] What if digital hadn't come along?

The FM Nikon was just a tad bigger than an OM-1. A very successful camera.
It was Maitani who figured out that if your format was only 24x36mm what's
the point of your camera body weighing more than a twin lens Rolleiflex? And
caught the entire camera industry with its pants down.
Now ironically last week they bring the OM body is back in digital ... With
a puny 4/3's sensor in it. Yoshihisa Maitani is turning over in his grave.
Or laughing. Probalby Both.

The Pentax Pentax ME was a tad smaller than an Om-1.
Seemingly exactly the size of a Barnack!
But none ever fell from the sky near me so I could shoot with it.
I was praying to the wrong photo god.
