Yes, absolutely.  And "interesting" is the best term.

If you're "old" like me, dream cameras are affordable.  Mostly.  A few 
things still in the stratosphere (e.g. Zunow 5cm f1.1).

But never in my teen years did I ever think I could afford a Leica.

And the new cameras these days?  Nice to read about, sometimes I even 
get motivated to go to the local store to hold a few.  Can't say they 
arouse the lust that Leica's and Hasselblad's did in my younger days.
