There was an original SWA ( 1953? 1954?) that used the earlier non-A backs
from the 1000 and 1600 cameras. They do not use the newer A12 backs.

SWC ran for years in various lens and shutter versions. Of course, the
later ones were considered "better" that the earlier ones.... and reflect so
in prices.

Original Finder was good, later one was a real improvement.

Check with Samys camera in LA for a mail order rental.

$10K sounds right for a new 903, at list price. Check Ebay if you wish to
buy....

The shutters are simple and reliable. But they do need CLA after a while.

I didn't pay that much attention to the lens, but I guess it's probably a
Super Wide (SW) rather than the original Supreme Wide Angle (SWA)

> Not sure if anyone actually BUYS the new 905 SWC for $10K+, but this
> is certainly the lowest priced Biogon I have seen.
