Well, I see the dark shadow as an oppressive element blah blah blah/

Any way, I like the image because of the composition with Vs and parallel
lines from the instruments and the music stand. To me, the silhouetted
bassoon player works and provides a good contrast from the window light.
The interplay between the painting and the bass player works for me too.

I knew I caught him looking at me (this is after all a rangefinder) and
that's always tricky, sometimes it works with the subject looking at you
and sometimes it doesn't. I think it works this time.
