Precisely why I refuse to use DNGs - it is a back door method to wrest a
little more monopolistic control. I am forced to use their software for
want of a reasonable alternative (and laziness, of course, in putting in
the effort to learn something else), pay exorbitant forced upgrade charges,
etc - they are the real monopoly in the consumer IT space, not Facebook,
Microsoft, Apple or Google...
