I'm catching up on Leica matters, and the MM and 50mm F/2 ASPH both
look like interesting products. I would have been real interested in
the 50mm at a much lower cost, but not at $7K. It's not worth twice
the 1.4 ASPH that I have and seldom use.

The higher resolution of the MM sensor would be nice, but the color
usefulness outweighs it for me, even when B&W is my main goal. The
variable filtration and selecting by color range are too important to
give up. I can already make sharp prints as large as my 7800 can
print. For panos I stitch and have loads of pixels.

I find being out of focus -- depth of field problems or otherwise --
is a much more limiting source of sharpness than the M9 18 MP Bayer
pattern.

Interesting, but the M9 and 35mm f/2.8 Biogon are better for my purposes.
