Mark,

Glad to hear that it?s nothing more sinister than a slipped disc. Normally 
this just gets better with time, even though it?s bl**dy awful at the time. 
Might take a few weeks to settle; but as long as there is no other sinister 
cause for nerve root compression, then that?s fine. Time for a large swig of 
Lagavullin or whichever is your preferred nectar (should be ok with your 
meds ie painkillers and steroids)
