It is my "take everywhere" camera because it is small and light, and sometimes it is liberating just to have one (very useful) focal length and nothing else. And the image quality is superb--close to M8 in good light, and better than M8 in bad light. So far I have 2040 pictures YTD in my Lightroom library for 2012 (this means that I have probably taken around 3000, but these 2040 survived the initial post-import cull). Of those, 772 were taken with the M8, 637 with the Pentax K5, and 533 with the Fuji. The rest with the LX3, the iPhone and various visiting friends' cameras. So the X100, while only in 3rd place, is a major part of my photography. Tonight I am going to a bar to watch Spain-Croatia with a friend from work, and I will take the Fuji.
