NOT the same high-ISO performance I'll grant you that, but the only time I find myself using it without the EVF is when it's on a tripod. I just don't see what's to be all that excited about this camera. It's about 8 months late to market, at least, and it gives us many features that the lowly Rebel has. Probably I'm completely wrong and it'll be a huge hit. But not for me.
