Most European countries have those rights and more.

But anyway, it is a useless debate. The NRA has too much political power and 
the gun culture is too deeply ingrained in the US for anything to change. 
There will be outrage and sorrow for a few days, but it will die down and 
our collective attention will move on to something else.
