When you run out of parts in an electronic "module", and the gadget is a few
years old, it is the beginning of the end. It is not so much the
availability of a PC board that is the problem, but components that have
been long out of production. The only solution is cannibalism.

If you want to keep your DMR working, you need to buy up any and all DMR's
you can find and squirrel them away. If your user goes haywire, send it for
repair with a cannibalized one (or 2, or 3) and see if you can keep your
prime body still working with transplants. It will not be cheap.

It will make you think again if the D800E and Nikon lenses or Leitaxed
lenses is not a rational decision, now.

Because when the final death blow happens, it will be the only solution.

Inevitability is a funny thing.... it happens.
