Hi Mark,
I had the 90 Summicron APO and it had focusing problems in the middle range 
distance.
I sent it to Leica and also had it twice adjusted by an independent service 
person, Leica trained, in Hong Kong
and none of the fiddling could get the lens to focus accurately over the 
entire range.
I finally sold it - before the prices sky rocketed - unfortunately. I 
believe Henning had similar problems with his version too.
I kept my 90 Elmarit and it focuses like a charm - even on the X Pro 1 - 
remember my balloon silhouette shot from the Burmese sunrise?

It was not one of those lenses which were tricky on an M9 you had to send it
in or something.
I was just reading Erwin was saying the problems with the 90 Apo asph on the
M9 or a myth. Not his words. By far.
As that's a main lens for me that bit of info gets my interest.
