Interesting. The big difference in how lardy people are is between 1983 and
now. From 1953 to 1983 it is much less marked.
I recently approached 90 kg, which is overweight for a 6 footer like me. An
athletic friend of mine recommended Sir Ranulph Fiennes book "fit to live".
Excellent book for all ages and fitness levels, not just for arctic
exploreres!
He points out the misinformation linking excercise to weight loss. Quite
logically excercise leads to fitness, only minimal weight loss. Fatness is
99% down to eating more food than you use, and health linked to what foods
you eat, and how much.
These days people eat bad food in too great a quantity.
Sadly his lists of foods to banish from the larder include many of my
favourites, and his daily food recommendations include food I -only- eat for
health and don't enjoy at all.
Anyway, it is not too difficult to work out when you have had enough food
but it is difficult to then stop eating IME...
