Chris to be serious, ABSOLUTELY!
I have been lucky enough to spend time with Ted twice, firstly over a day or
two for the LUG dinner in San Francisco at the end of 2008, but for last
year I think about a week in Barcelona when Ted came to join us. Walking and
sharing and laughing with such an inspiration was genuinely a privilege. Ted
would be constantly pointing or saying look at that when I would perhaps be
at the end of the shooting day. I recall after shooting a hundred social
frames or so when together with Lluis and his daughter's family that I
lowered my camera thinking I ought to be a little more social. I recall
flicking through a couple of previews on the LCD. I heard Ted say, Hoppy
stop chimping and come over here. You are missing the best opportunity of
the day (Lluis was playing with his lovely granddaughter Maria). I was and I
did and then shot another hundred frames or more which included many more
wonderful warm family moments.

I have no doubt at all that everyone else who has an opportunity to spend
time with Ted will also to attest to his talent and great experience of
course but also his generous sharing, marvellous motivation and inspiration
for other photographers.

Cheers,
Geoff Hopkinson
