I recently calculated that if I sold all of my R equipment including both
the 280mm f/4 APO and the recent, hard-earned backup 280mm f/4 APO I could
afford a well-used S2, an adapter for Contax 645 lenses, a Zeiss 350mm
Tele-Apotessar, extension tubes and a 1.4x Mutar. It would do for 99% of my
photos. The other 1% would be covered by a Zeiss Contax 645 120mm
APO-Makro-Planar. I have to stop calculating such stuff.
