Keep in mind that she was arrested for "failure to identify" meaning she
would not show them her ID... Since she was a college student, wearing gym
clothes, and out jogging, it is not surprising she had no ID with her....
Another idiotic display of Police power.... Do it my way or else....

Generally, in the US, "jaywalking" is defined as crossing the street any
place except at a marked pedestrian crossing. It was something that was
invented back in the 1920s or 30s for the convenience of car drivers. I
think in Texas it is a capital crime.
