As far as Sony not making lenses; they do have an array.  Six are out,
(five and one nearly out,) but of course, they do have other lenses in the
lineup that will fit the A7x line with and without adapters.   The camera
has a mode to run E mount (NEX) lenses without vignetting.   One of the
available adapters translates autofocus for the A mount lenses to the A7
camera.

6  full frame full frame FE   (for A7x series)

6 E mount   (apc size NEX)

12   A mount    (Konica A Mount) (will autocrop on Sony full frame cameras

24  full frame A mount   (K A mount full frame)

2 A mount adapters  for E mount cameras
