It seems that most M wides do dramatically better after conversion of the
Sony a7r.  However, the apo 50 and longer lenses may not.  The OEM FE
optics do better before conversion.  Sony and Zeiss, for their own lenses,
include the cover glass thickness in the optical formula.

>From what I can see, Sony's strategy is not to have the best camera for M
glass, but rather to have OEM glass that can beat the M glass.
