In December, even after 18" of snow, a small rose bush in our front yard
has buds on it. Shot with iPhone SE against the snow at twilight.

I also took photos with my Fuji X-E2 and 55mm f/3.5 Micro-Nikkor, but the
iPhone shot was more pleasing, and less grainy(!), since I had to boost the
ISO on the X-E2 to get similar D.o.F. and even then the shutter speed was
chancy for sharpness. It was overcast and the sun was setting.

Must say though, that the iPhone is too fiddly a camera to please me as my
Fuji does. The hair-trigger release is always going off before I have
finalized the composition (or it takes a burst that I didn't want) and I
can't figure out if there is a way to show frame numbers under the images.
After I download to my MacBook for editing, I want to be able to delete all
the rejects, but I don't know which frame is which on the phone.
