Comments for or against Fred Ward's position aside... I have no arguments
with those who a) own, b) dream of owning or c) have only unrealistic hopes
of one day owning an aspherical lens of any focal length.

However, those of us who are watching our pennies very closely, still
delight in owning Leica equipment for the sheer joy of using something so
finely crafted.

Mark, at Focus Camera advised that TAMRON make a 2x extender in the Adaptall
line, which will fit my R5. While I would prefer a Leica 2x (obviously),
the Adaptall, at under US$ 200 is quite affordable.

Does anybody have any experience with such a beast. Is it cheap - but worth
the money? Or should I continue to save my pennies?
