Subject: R 28-70 opinions

Recently there were some postings about zoom lenses
for the R system. They said that the 3.5-4.5/28-70mmm
was designed and built by Sigma. I don't own that lens 
but I consider buying one. I would be interested 
about its performance. Can it be regarded
as a real Leica lens (apart from the fact that it has a red 
label on it)? Any opinions from its users are welcome.
