Jim,
These gray plastic lenscouplers were made by Leitz and some years ago came
with the various Leitz Leather-Combicases (hard -  brown, soft - black) for
M and R . I use them and they don't wear out like the plastic rearcaps.
BTW. Nikon rear-caps do wear very quickly. -otto-
