It did for me Martin. I consider myself to have been extremely fortunate
but for most of my career I have been able to work at what I love, as a
result long hours are not too much hardship. It was really tough initially,
I effectively worked for nothing, but once I had shown what I could do I
was away. This was not in photography BTW that is a hobby!

I am not intending to gloat here. If you want it bad enough you can do it.
