David, the lens is probably a Zunow if it was in Nikon RF mount.  The lens
should be cleaned as it is possible the fungus hasn't cut into the glass
yet.  The last one in mint condition went for more than $20,000 attached to
a mint SP.  Even the lens hood if it is in good condition is worth hundreds.

Try e-mailing Stephen Gandy: get his address at cameraquest.com and asking
for suggestions. Who knows, maybe the local shop owner will reward you with
a good deal on the wide angle if all goes best.
