While waiting in line, I took a quick photo of the expresso operator at work

just using up a roll of film so I could process it tonight.

The line still had several people in front of me so I began looking around

for

another photo with the M6 in my hands.

Then the manager caught my attention and said 'you can't take pictures in

here'.

No problem, but is this a new Starbucks policy or is a franchise

prerogative?

I have taken photos in there before with no comment.

Starbucks isn't known for having a particularly good sense of humour nor a
holistic corporate policy other than maximizing profits.

Just last year the corporate giant sued a San Francisco cartoonist:

plus, they're under fire for using Genetically Engineered products in their
food, milk products that contain Bovine Growth Hormone,, and coffee that is
grown at Nike wages.

I'd suggest if possible, you find a more artistic and socially friendly java
joint.
