Ottawa:

0) Parliament serves as a nice central reference. The Robert Frank
exhibit is between Parliament and the Chateau Laurier -
    at the Canadian Photographic Exhibit

1) classical cameras = Camera Exchange II, corner of Bank Street and
Catherine, on Bank Street and 3 miles south of Parliament

2) restaurants near downtown:
    - plenty in the "Market" just east of Parliament
    - plenty more on Elgin Street, south of Parliament. It is directly
south of the "east end" of Parliament

What type of restaurants are you looking for?

regards,
Vick
