And to answer a related post about a dealer's ability to order products
she/he doesn't stock. The answer is a definite YES. If an authorized dealer
stocks only binocs and scopes, and you walk in and ask them to order an M or
an R for you, they surely can do so. The same holds true if they're not
stocking Scopes, or Projectors, or any Leica product. If they say that they
can not, it isn't that Leica is prohibiting them from doing so. If they say
that they can't do it, that is a choice they've made not to do it. Any
authorized dealer can order any Leica product he/she chooses, whether it's a
stocked item or not.
