		    Luis Marden, 90, who introduced 35mm photography, the
Leica and
		Kodachrome to the National Geographic magazine, past away.
There is an
		interesting obituary on him in today's NY Times. 4/5/03.
		    Someone quoted in the story said, he got the
photographers away from
		carrying 200 pounds of equipment with his Leica. I find it
amusing because
		almost everyone at the NGS travels much much more today.
