Don,

I agree that the Fuji Press films are really good. I sort of looked down 
my nose at them until I tried the Press 800, which is outstanding. This 
is the film that most press photographers were using right before all 
the newspapers went digital.

Having said that, when shooting color negative, there are plenty of 
opportunities to pick up contrast along the way to a print. So starting 
with a negative that has the ability to capture a large dynamic range as 
NPH does is not a bad idea. I'd rather have all the possible detail in 
the negative and choose to lose it later than not to have it in the 
first place. To my mind, this is the best argument for shooting color 
negative rather than reversal in the first place.

I agree with your assessment that the Fuji Press films will deliver a 
character similar to Reala with higher speed.
